CASING PIPE WITH CONNECTOR JOINT
PMM delivers comprehensive, high-quality heavy-duty casing and fabrication solutions engineered to withstand the rigorous demands of both offshore and onshore drilling operations.
CASING PIPE WITH CONNECTOR JOINT
The range of casing pipe supplied by PMM are of OD sizes 16″ to 36″ and covering the full range of pipe wall thicknesses. We can also manufacture larger OD sizes, if required by the customer. Casing pipes can be supplied with both Product Specification Level (PSL-1 & PSL-2). These pipes are procured from API 5L certified mills only.
PMM can supply finished connector joints in a variety of forms to meet the client’s full list of requirements and industry standards, including standard joints (API Range 3), pup joints, extended joints (>12mtr), cross-over joints, extension joints (up to 18mtr), float shoe & float collar joints, landing joints, joints with lifting pad-eyes and more
The primary products and services we provide are:
- Supply of loose Connectors.
- Connectors fabrication to free issue pipes.
- Supply of complete joints.
- Specialized welding services.
Fabrication of Casing Joints
CASING PIPE ASSEMBLY AND WELDING
PMM use state-of-the-art Esab & Ador welding equipment for submerged arc welding (SAW), tungsten inert gas welding (TIG) & metal inert gas welding (MIG) to ensure that connectors are welded to the pipe in conformity with industry standards. During the Fit-Up of the connector to the pipe, the principle control points include alignment tolerance, group of clearance, perpendicularity & straightness. All weld procedures are pre-qualified to cover all relevant dissimilar material combinations.
QUALITY INSPECTION
PMM follows a manufacturing quality test plan (QTP), which is pre-approved by the client, to ensure that all relevant manufacturing and fabrication inspection criteria are recorded and adhered to. All PMM welds are inspected by phased array and/or radiographic testing as per the industry standards and client’s specific requirements. The weld cap on the girth weld and long seam weld height is gauged to suit API elevator dimensions.PMM procedures and welders are qualified and certified in accordance with relevant industry standards. The inspection procedures used by PMM conform to API Spec. 1104 & API-RP-5C6
TRACEABILITY
Data sheets are prepared for each casing joint, which includes material certification and records details of all tests and inspection conducted per the QTP. Each data sheet is linked to and identifies each component by a unique serial number, which provides 100% material traceability.
FAST TURNAROUND
PMM prides itself on its short lead-time delivery capabilities and carries an inventory of connectors, raw material forgings and a selection of pipe (common sizes) to offer expedited deliveries.
PMM provide a number of incentives including stocking and maintenance agreements and expediting programs to provide the client with the flexibility to meet tight delivery schedules. These agreements are tailor made to the client’s specific circumstances, on a case-by-case basis. Please contact sales@pmittalmpl.com for more detailed information.
CASING ACCESSORIES
DRIVE SUB
Drive subs/Chasers are used for pilling of casing joints into the well bore. Drive sub/Chaser consists of casing pipe/line pipe welded to chaser head. The drive sub is lifted through the pad eyes welded to the casing pipe and is hammered into the casing joint. The hammer ring is fitted to the chaser head which is used for transferring the impact forces to the casing joint uniformly and safely during driving operations.

CIRCULATING HEAD
A device attached to the top of the drill pipe or tubing or casing to allow pumping into the well. A circulating head is an adapter that enable a temporary circulating line to the top of the casing string. It allows circulation of fluids to help properly locate the casing string. Its top end connects to drill pipe via drill pipe thread, or connects to the hose, the bottom connects to casing joint via casing having PMM Multistart Other connections and pipe grades can ako be provided on request.

ANTI ROTATION DEVICE (SHEAR TOOL)
PMM Multistart connectors have integral 4 point anti rotation provision which can be engaged through anti rotation device (shear tool). The shear tool consists of chisel head with high hardness so that it can shear the box connector guide nose and insert it to the machined slot of the pin connector. Anti rotation devices are available for all sizes of PMM Multistart connectors. Anti rotation devices are available in both left hand and right hand configuration.
| Model | Multistart Connector Sizes | Configuration | Total Length (metres) |

DRIVE SHOE
A Drive shoe is beveled – edge sleeve or coupling i.e attached to the bottom of the pipe or Casing to act as a cutting edge in most casing advancement systems. It also acts as protector for the pipe or casing to prevent splitting.
There are two types of drive shoes:
1)Straight Drive Shoe
2)Deviated / Directional Drive Shoe
Straight Drive Shoes are attached at the end of the casing joint for straight vertical wells and Deviated Drive Shoes are welded at the end of the casing joint for deviated wells.
Drive Shoes are available in size range from 18.625’’ to 42’’.
*Details required from the End-User / Drilling Contractor: Size, Deviation Angle (in case of deviated shoe).
